Publication Ethics
Fattah Journal of Islamic Banking and Finance (FJIBF) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure ethical behavior by all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
1. Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism.

All sources and references must be properly cited.

Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal at the same time.

Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest.

In cases of significant errors discovered after publication, authors are obliged to inform the editorial board for correction or retraction.
2. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for the decision to accept or reject articles based on quality, relevance, and originality.

Editors must ensure a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process.

Editors should not use unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author's explicit written consent.

Editors must take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.
3. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers must provide an objective and constructive assessment of the manuscript.

Reviewers must maintain confidentiality regarding the content of the manuscript.

Reviewers should disclose any conflict of interest that could affect the objectivity of their review.

Reviewers must notify the editor of any suspected ethical issues such as plagiarism or data fabrication.
4. Publisher’s Responsibilities

The publisher ensures that editorial decisions are independent and not influenced by commercial or political interests.

The publisher works with editors to maintain academic integrity and address any ethical concerns.
FJIBF is committed to ethical publishing and will take all allegations of misconduct seriously. Proven cases of unethical behavior will result in appropriate corrective actions, including retraction or correction of the article.
