Peer Review Process
Al Asri Journal of Management and Business Yapnas (AJMBY) employs a double-blind peer review system to ensure the integrity, quality, and academic rigor of all published articles. Both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process to eliminate potential biases.
1. Initial Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript is initially screened by the editorial team to ensure that it meets the journal’s focus, scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision before peer review.
2. Double-Blind Review
If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area. In the double-blind review process:
-
Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
-
Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
-
Relevance to the journal’s scope
-
Originality and contribution to knowledge
-
Clarity of research objectives and methodology
-
Validity of data and analysis
-
Soundness of conclusions
-
Proper use of references and adherence to ethical standards
3. Review Outcomes
Reviewers will recommend one of the following outcomes:
-
Accept without revision
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
-
Reject
The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board, based on reviewers' recommendations and the quality of the revisions (if applicable).
4. Revision Process
If revisions are requested, authors are expected to:
-
Submit a revised version of the manuscript within the specified deadline.
-
Provide a detailed response to each comment from the reviewers.
-
Highlight changes made to the manuscript (e.g., using track changes or a revision summary).
Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.
5. Final Decision and Publication
After the manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the final editing and layout process. Authors will receive a proof version for approval before publication. The article is then published in the upcoming issue and made available online under the CC BY 4.0 open-access license.
6. Review Timeline
The peer review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, but may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the revisions.
Note: AJMBY ensures a fair, transparent, and timely review process. All reviewers and editors are expected to maintain confidentiality and declare any conflicts of interest.
